Loading and Discharging Shipments in Khoramshahr Port and Berthing Launch in Abadan Port

 

 

After 17 days standstill of loading and discharging shipments in Khoramshahr port for the war in Iraq, Khoramshahr's activities in this case restart from 6th of April, 2003.

Ocean transporting activities in this place was stopped because of probable accident of ware during vessels transportation in Arvandrood.

Arvandrood is a border river between Iran and Iraq and Khoramshahr placed at margin of this river.

Khoramshahr port starts its working after reinstructing in 1381 and for reduction his great history, 950,000 MT shipments was loading and discharging in this port.

Trading is one of the most important parts of Khoramshahr's people economic.

Also today after 16 days standstill of berthing launches in Abadan's jetty, discharging the shipments starts.

But during this period discharging the shipments of merchants which their shipment was in Abadan's warehouse was going on and just transport of launches was forbidden in Arvandrood. Khoramshahr's and Abadan's merchants transport their shipment to foreign countries by changing the route from Khoramshahr port to Bushehr and B. Abbas ports.
