An English bank received the authentication for working in Kabul.
Kabul, Irana:
During a convention on Saturday the Afghanistan’s central bank authenticated the activity of the English bank” STANDARD CHARTER” on June 28th 2003.

This English bank, with 150 years of background, recently presented the official application for working in Kabul to the government of this country.

The Afghanistan central bank declared here on Saturday night “Anvarolhagh Ahady, the chief of this bank, signed the contract of the bank with the presence of its English representative in Kabul after the concession with the demand of STANDARD CHARTER.

The CHARTER standard would be the first foreign bank commencing its toil in Afghanistan
And would work there utilizing local staffs.

The bank’s activities would encompass: opening accounts in the Afghan’s currency and USD, conceding the orders, copy of drafts and loaning.

Banking in Afghanistan is limited and has a partial communication with the world banking system.
