Kosravi Terminal was inaugurated by the Minister of Road& Transportation. Concerning the strategic position of Khosravi Terminal, the minister declared:” Khosravi Terminal is located in a strategic route which is one of the most important routes of country. This route connects CIS, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Armenia to Iraq and Syria via Iran. This Terminal will facilitate cargo transit between the said countries”. Mr. Khansari – Director of Transport & Terminal Organization – also told:” This Terminal and route can act a good role in activating East – West Corridor. If the prohibition against Iraq is cancelled and also necessary transit devices are provided in Iraq, Iran will change to an important transit square in this region and can act as the most important circle in linking East – West Corridor to South-North Corridor”.
