Chahbahar Free Zone enjoys necessary facilities to act as an important route for cargo being transited for Afghanistan renovation. This route is the most suitable one for cargo being transited to Afghani provinces like Kandahar, Zabol, Helmand, Nimruz. To get this purpose Iran Government is providing necessary equipments in Zabol Customs in order to activate this route. Mr. Hossein Mahmoodi – Trade development director of Chahbahar Free Zone declared: “ This organization is offering %50 deduction in Customs Taxes to those traders who opens LC in Chahbahar which activate banks in Chahbahar and omit the function of broker banks in Dubai. Also those traders who purchase goods from the origin and shorten the hands of brokers in this case will receive % 20 deductions in Customs charges. %10 deductions will be offered to those goods’ owners who move their cargo using modern mode of transport. To consider all these deductions, it seems that the received Customs taxes from importers of goods will reach only % 2.5 instead of the whole % 80”!

Mr. Mahmoodi also indicated that the nos of active traders in the zone are appx 5000 and declared: “ The value of the raw material for factories which was imported via this zone has been $26,200,00”.
