Stowage

Stowage methods:

1. Bag stowage: When the decks for bag stowage are prepared, stowage will be done in three forms:

1-1. Bag on bag stowage: when the cargo needs maximum verification, this method is used.
1-2. Half bag stowage: When there is no need for verification, this method is used.
1-3. Cross stowage: This method is used when the bags should stowage in small tabulation and the balance of bags is important.
2. Stowage of bales: Before stowage, a row of absorber will be put on the floor. Some of these packages don't have any especial rules for stowage.

3. Stowage of cartons: First absorber is placed, and then they arrange it in especial form from the middle line of vessel in to sides, they should be arranged in a form which avoids moving the cartons to the sides.

4. Stowage of wooden shelves: As the cargo is visible from out side so an absorber should be set between each two packages and the light cargos should be arranged on them in order to avoid damages.

5. Stowage of cases: one package on another, without absorber on the floor.

6. Stowage of vats: It should be considered that the middle part of vats is fragile, so they should be arranged in a form which don't contact with floor.

7. Stowage of cylinders: They are put on the deck horizontal in order to avoid contacting with the vessel's sides.

8. Stowage of drums: absorber is used in this form and they stacked in vertical form.

9. Stowage of spools: The best place for stowage of heavy spools is the lower holds of vessel, and should be stacked in a form which their axis is parallel with width not to cut the control wires.
