Arrival & storage of goods

 
 

The rules of arrival of vessel:
1. All the vessels which discharge goods in one of Iranian ports must send a copy of manifest or cargo plan through the agent of shipping line or express post, one week before arrival of vessel.

2-For the vessels which are the carrier of bulk goods (wheat, grain, maize, liquid oil) there isn't no need for cargo plane.

3-The agent of shipping line must inform port regarding the fowling cases 48 hours before the arrival of vessel:
-The name and the nationality of vessel
-The origin port
-The gross length and capacity and irrigable of vessel
Five copies of manifest along with the translated packing list, also manifest should be without any mistake in writing.

If the manifest and cargo plane haven't reached the port, the cargo plane is should be given.

If the manifest has been corrected, Capitan should sign any of reformations.

4-All the agents of vessels which will enter the port, should go to the central office of port the 9 o'clock, the day before arrival of vessel and declared all the information about vessel.

5-The request form for jetty should be submitted to port 24 hours before the arrival of vessel.

6-The vessels crew which have goods for discharging, must control all crane and repair the equipments in the case of any damages, and if they can't solve the problem, they should inform the port and ask for help through their agent.

7-The vessels crew which have goods for discharging, should open the storage's doors as soon as finishing the operation and doing quarantine and custom formalities.

8-The agents of shipping line or good owners, should prepare the workers on the jetty to start discharging as soon as getting permission.

9-The Capitan whose vessel contains flammable products, should declare the quantity, place of warehouse and the name of owners to the port 48 hours before arrival in port.

The entrance and keeping rules for goods in the port


1-The responsibility of port for the import goods starts when the goods have been put on jetty by the vessel crane or shore crane and the position of cargo has been checked by port counters, and also Tally has been taken for it and the receipt has been given to shipping line by port authorities.

2-The port doesn't undertake any responsibility for import goods which have been discharged directly from the vessel and stocking on the owner's vehicle, and the agent of the good owner should solve all the problems which may occur on the jetty (by presence of port agent), and if he gets delivery of the cargo and then leaves the port, port won't accept any responsibility for solving their problems.

3-The port accepts the export goods just when the carrier vessel is assigned and will enter the port within 15 days, or if it is at the port, there is the possibility of loading till the time of leaving.

4-The port gets delivery of the goods according to their appearance and will deliver them in the same form, and won't undertake any responsibility regarding the weight and the number of goods.

5-In the case of any damages in packing in addition t mentioning in tally, the agent of shipping line should check it by the presence of port agent and mention the kind of damage and number of packages, sign the proceeding, pack the goods in new packing or put them in a bag and plumb it and deliver to the port which will be delivered to the goods owners in the same form.

6-The goods should be packed according the international standards and the port won't undertake the responsibility of the missing goods which don't have standard packing , a proceeding should be arranged in this case.

7-The signs of the goods should be readable and mentioned on four sides of package.

8-The hazardous or flammable goods should have the special mark, otherwise any sort of damages which occur should be undertaken by the good owners.

9-Opening and repacking the packages for evaluation is by good owners.

10-Regarding the goods which need especial care, this matter should be mentioned on the packing and manifest.

11-The post shipments entering by the container will be kept in the transit warehouse.

12-The insurance of goods should be done by good owners.

13- The goods which pollute the port, aren't permitted to be discharged or kept in the port and should be discharged from the vessel directly on the vehicle which belongs to the good owners, and leave the port after custom formalities.
Otherwise shipping line or the good owner has to discharge goods in the barge and keep them with their own responsibility.

14-The flammable goods should be kept in port warehouse, and if they haven't been moved directly, Shipping line should do all the security while discharging barge and should do direct loading in charge of good owners.
