All this process from moving from B. Abbas up to arrival to destination port and starting discharging and leaving destination port are as follow:

Process of vessel's moving:
In this case we imagine that the vessel which name is X has been loaded in Mumbai, which is one of Indian's port, and dispatched to B. Abbas.

1) the above mentioned vessel should choose an agent in Iran for itself which this chose can be done in one of following times:

a) Before loading.
b) During loading.
c) At the time which vessel is started to move.
d) Even after arrival of vessel to final destination port.


2) Announce the approximate date of arrival of the vessel to final destination port. This date will be declared by the vessel to its agent in final destination.
3) After arrival of vessel at destination port it's agent should go to port office and register its vessel.
4) After registering the vessel a representative person will be sent to check the sanitary situation and if it's needed they will quarantined the vessel for avoiding epidemic illnesses. Then they will allow the vessel to discharge its shipments. This level is named FREE PRATIQUE.
5) In this time the vessel will announce its preparation for discharging and the vessel agent should inform the goods owner about this matter in order to prepare their documents and start clearance of shipment.
6) After declaring the preparation of vessel and doing formalities of quarantine, vessel should be put in waiting list for discharging which in this level there is 2 cases:

a) If the commodity of the vessel is food stuff such as rice, wheat, meet and etc. The vessel will berth in one of the jetties and start discharging.
b) If the commodity of the vessel is metals or general cargo, the vessel should be put in waiting list. The vessel can discharge its shipment on barge with permission of port office and this act is named as barge operation.

7) While discharging the vessel some representatives go on the vessel for supervision on discharging that these persons are as follow:
Supervisor, Tally clerk and one or more watch men.
The above mentioned persons supervise the daily discharging of the vessels and they prepare Tally sheet and daily reports.
At the end of discharging comprehensive documents,which are so effective on checking the quantity of discharging shipments and also checking the other matters, will be prepared.

8) After discharging and even during the discharging the agent go to port office, pay all customs taxes and duties and obtain the paper of port clearance and deliver it to the in charge person in vessel and vessel get ready to leave port.
9) Last step which has been nominated as sailing part is the time which vessel gets permission to leave port by paying all taxes and duties and also by paying all of the debts.
In this level the vessel will be pulled by tugboat from Jetty and by one of the local Pilot and will guide the vessel to the international seas and then it will leave Iran's sea.

The duties of shipping agent in Port from arrival of the vessel up to leave the port is as follow:

A) Providing drinking water for vessels crow.
B) Providing food stuff.
C) Providing fuel for vessels generator.
D) Servicing the vessels crow and authorities.
E) Sending the vessels Capitan's messages and telexes.
F) Getting the permit of entering the port for vessel's captain and its crows.

More over than above points in some cases the vessels agent in port will accept to discharge the vessel too.
