Rajaee Port: New development program

500 milliards USD is being credited for renovation and reestablishment of Bandar Abbas port foundations in this year. The manager for Hormozgan Port & Shipping Organization advising this matter added: " Maximum part of this amount will be used to build a big warehouse of 120,000 MT grains". He indicated that in last year 52 millions MT cargo was loaded/offloaded in Hormozgan ports which almost 37 millions MT of which was operated in Port of Rajaee. "Increasing Port equipments, establishing the 2nd terminal and developing logistic structures in Port of Rajaee is other programs of Port & Shipping Organization to develop Port of Rajaee" he added. According to Mr. Gholizadeh Rajaee Port having a well-equipped Complex and a Especial Economic Zone which has 24 berths' posts, 19 kms railways, modern equipments for loading/offloading known as "Golden Gate" of Iran. This port has the biggest container terminal too.
