Iran & Russia improve mutual transportation cooperation by northeast corridor.

As minister of road and transportation stated in conversation with Irana, this agreement has been approved by both government and this cooperation will be performed as soon as this agreement sign.

Regarding to this point that Iran, India & Russia are in Northeast Passage, Mr. Ahmad Khorram mentioned that with signing this agreement Asia & Europe continent are connected together via this passage. The minister of road and transportation said that the nearest transportation route to Europe is via Caspian Sea – Russia – Europe which causes decreasing of charges moreover increasing of transportation of goods.

Mr. Khorram added: Regarding to this point that most of cntrs transportation will be via this route, Iran & Russia agreed to establish a committee in the field of ocean and cntrs transportation.

He added: by the way about 300,000 cntrs are transferred in Iran yearly, which by creating this northeast transportation passage it will be increased to 1,000,000 in a year.
